This chapter explores the interface of music and verbal psychotherapy with adolescents in a hospital-based consultation-liaison (CL) mental health service. The chapter commences with a description of the CL service with reference to the role of music therapy. Second, theoretical orientation in psychiatric music therapy practice is discussed.
