Case Studies
This chapter considers two case studies which focus on the application of key techniques and interventions that enabled clients to manage or resolve their difficulties. The therapeutic alliance is also examined as multimodal stress counsellors attempt to determine what type of relationship and interaction a particular client will most effectively respond to (see Lazarus 1981; Laxarus, ed., 1985). This will be demonstrated with a client who was seen for 23 sessions, in contrast to another client who was seen for one session only.
