Clients whose work schedules preclude them from scheduling face-to-face appointments with local counselors, who are homebound, or who otherwise would not have access to therapy now have an online option. In rural areas, clients may know the therapist and encounter multiple role relationships. For example, the client may be the therapist’s neighbor, children’s teacher, pharmacist, or fellow parishioner.
