Studies on co-teaching have found that it can be a very effective method for meeting student needs (Magiera, Smith, Zigmond, & Gebauer, 2005; Murawski, 2006; Rea, McLaughlin, & Walther-Thomas, 2002). However, administrative support is key to its implementation and, ultimately, its success or failure (Dieker, 2001; Rea, 2005; Spencer, 2005).
