Chapter 5: Actualizing Narrative
The promise of a founding story is that a more ideal narrative will be enacted or actualized. But for desires to be fulfilled, strengths to be used, values to be lived, and interests to be deepened and enjoyed, a person must take action. Otherwise, the story remains but an unrealized dream.
There are three major episodes of action or types of scenarios. In the first scenario, a person engages in exploration to construct a meaningful portrait of some reality, such as an occupation.
