In this final chapter we summarize a number of the themes that we have previously raised, highlighting these in relation to current and on-going debates in the field. There are considerable changes afoot in the UK, some of these affecting the helping professions as a whole. Of particular interest at present are the proposals for statutory regulation, an issue that has been generating significant stress within applied psychology and in the helping professions in general.
