Marketing the Message
Marketing the Message
Marketing should be an expressed part of the school and district’s action plans. The problem educators face is that residents are is not as informed as they should be about the quality of the job the public education system is doing. Consider the fact that in many instances, public support is needed to approve bond issues to fund schools. Unfortunately, the majority of the public cannot see the need for additional funding because they are unaware of what is taking place within schools. Educators need to take responsibility for communicating with the public and be more proactive in doing so; they should continually inform the public about both what is going well and what challenges the school is facing.
