Ecuador is located in the western part of South America. Its name comes from the equator, which passes near its capital, the city of Quito. The country has a strategic plan for tourism development with important goals for 2020. Despite being a relatively small country, Ecuador has a wide range of activities and tourist services, along with ground and air connectivity. These features allow visitors to move from one destination to another in a relatively short time and in comfort. Its main tourism offering is its combination of natural and cultural resources.
