Ecotourism

In the last few decades, the landscape of tourism has changed dramatically. The number of people, destinations, and governments taking part in tourism has continuously increased and demand and supply diversified. One such change has been the differentiation of mass tourism and special interest tourism, with the latter including types of tourism such as ecotourism. At the same time, a growing concern for the environment and cultures in tourism led to the appearance of new forms of tourism as a major component of international tourism, among them ecotourism.
