Shanghai, China

With a population of over 24 million and an area of 6,340 square kilometers, Shanghai is the largest city in China. Located on the east coast at the mouth of the Yangtze River, Shanghai has a subtropical climate with four distinct seasons and moderately humid weather throughout the year. Shanghai, renowned for historic attractions, modern skyscrapers, and shopping malls, is one of the most popular tourist destinations attracting travelers from all over the world. In 2013, 267 million domestic and inbound tourists visited Shanghai.
