The SAGE Handbook of Process Organization Studies provides a comprehensive and timely overview of the field. Over the past decade there has been, as noted by the editors of this handbook, an increasing interest in the study of temporal evolution, unfolding activities, incessant change, movement, and fluidity in organizations. This perspective, which has come to be known as ‘process organization studies', aims to ‘capture the dynamic, continuous and endogenous nature of change and changing, whether intended or not’ as stated by the editors in their original proposal for this edited volume.
