  • Videoconferencing, or a live connection between two or more persons or a group of people located at different locations for the purpose of communication or interaction, is an essential part of many forms of online education. In the online classroom, there can be both asynchronous (where the instructor and students do not need to be online at the same time) and synchronous (directly interactive) instruction.
