Life balance, sometimes referred to as work–life balance, is a concept used to help people understand how to prioritize the different components of one’s everyday responsibilities and one’s “lifestyle” (health, pleasure, family, leisure, spiritual). Work and family/personal obligations may leave little time for individual wants and needs. Life balance has emerged as a term used to define a balance among the various aspects of life. It can be viewed as a state of mind, a process, and a goal. As a state of mind, life balance describes a sense of meaning, contentment, satisfaction, and happiness with one’s life.
