The Bouki Blues Festival is a project of the West African Research Center in Dakar, Senegal, and the Whitney Plantation Museum in Wallace, Louisiana. The festival is devoted to the historical and cultural links between West Africa and the Lower Mississippi River Valley. In order to promote exchanges on both directions, it is also the goal of the initiator to organize the festival in Louisiana, on the site of the Whitney Plantation Slave Museum.

Presentation of the Project
