THE CANADIAN STEM CELL NETWORK is one of Industry Canada's 21 Networks of Centres of Excellence (NCE) that bring together researchers and partners from the public, private, and nonprofit sectors to conduct research and work in areas of science to improve the well—being of Canadians. The NCEs are federally funded programs in the fields of information and communication technology, engineering and manufacturing, environmental and natural resources, and health and life sciences. The NCEs comprise academics, researchers, and industry and government professionals who work coUaboratively to advance specific fields of science.
