Under the Ministry of Health and Population in Nepal are units such as Epidemiology, Curative Care (e.g., hospitals, health facilities), Logistics (for forecasting medicines and delivering them to health posts), HIV/AIDS, Family Planning and Maternal Neo-Natal Child Health, Infectious Diseases, and the National Health Education, Information and Communication Center (NHEICC). Units such as Family Planning and Maternal Neonatal Child Health, HIV/AIDS, and Infectious Diseases focus on preventive measures by working with NHEICC to design, implement, and disseminate health messages through both interpersonal communication networks in the rural/village areas and through mass media communication such as radio and television broadcasts, billboards, magazines, short films, and exhibitions.
