School and Classroom Climate

The climate of any organization consists of the quality and character of life within it. It encompasses the unwritten rules, standards, and expectations that affect the behavior of individuals within the organization, and it also includes its social milieu, implicit values, and physical environment. School climate, sometimes referred to as the heart and soul of a school, has long been considered fundamental to effective education, being a product of the shared beliefs, values, and attitudes that shape interactions between the students, teachers, and administrators.
