A curriculum is a program consisting of a series of learning activities intended to realize some set of educational objectives. The mission of a school or other educational agency is understood to be the delivery of a curriculum to some group of students or other learners. Generally, the content of a curriculum is announced so that students and other stakeholders are aware of what learning opportunities are available at a given school or set of schools. It is the case, however, that not all of a school’s learning opportunities are advertised—schools also feature a hidden curriculum whose objectives and learning activities are seldom spelled out.
