Technology
Technology is the development and application of devices for productive processes. As such, it has always been inseparably connected to all aspects of crime and its control, etiology, commission, and apprehension. No aspect has emphasized this more significantly than when crime crosses borders and becomes transnational. This happened long before Athenians used carts to bring back booty stolen from Megara. To use such an ancient example, involving Greek city-states, is to note that in dealing with transnational crime, the possibility always exists that the criminals are in some way receiving support from their domestic authorities or know that their domestic government looks the other way regarding crimes committed against foreigners.
