Globalization
Globalization in and of itself is neither good nor evil. It was a popular buzzword of the 20th century and it continues into the 21st. Although not a new issue, the complexities of globalization make it a difficult topic with which to grapple.
Ethics, governance structures, and world legal and regulatory systems, including trade and intellectual property, are all important components of the international fishbowl. New learning possibilities, including distance education and distributed learning, are increasingly becoming possible; however, historically, education through secondary school has been considered to be under state and local governance, including public and/or private bodies.
